Two-year-old colt Gengis lands Listed Prix Zeddaan in France
King's Best, who will stand at Darley in Japan for the first time in 2013, recorded a new Stakes winner on 22 November when his two-year-old son Gengis was victorious in the Listed Prix Zeddaan at Fontainebleu in France.
Held up towards the rear in the early stages of the 1200m contest, Gengis made swift progress a furlong from home and was nudged along close to home to win by a length. This was his third career win from five starts.
King’s Best has now sired 14 Black type performers in 2012, including G1 Tenno Sho winner Eishin Flash and fellow G1 winner Royal Diamond.
