King’s Best’s talented son Kings Fete landed his second successive Group race on Saturday 13 August when taking the G3 Geoffrey Freer Stakes at Newbury. Coming into the race on the back of a victory in the G3 Glorious Stakes at Goodwood, he was sent to the front straight from the stalls and never saw rival, winning cosily by one-and-a-quarter lengths.
Bred by Juddmonte Farms, Kings Fete is the best performer out of the Stakes-winning Singspiel mare Village Fete, who is herself a half-sister to the multiple Group-winner Trade Fair.
The sire of 61 individual Stakes winners, King’s Best has sired G1 winners in six individual countries including the winners of the Tokyo Yushun (Eishin Flash), the Derby and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (Workforce), the Sussex Stakes (Proclamation) and the Dubai Duty Free and Jebel Hatta (Sajjhaa).
