Storming Home’s consistent three-year-old son Lion Tamer claimed yet another black-type win on Saturday when landing the Listed Ming Dynasty handicap at Randwick in Sydney.
Bred in New Zealand by P. H. P. Bayly, Lion Tamer is out of the Generous mare Lioness and claimed his first Stakes win as a two-year-old when taking out the Listed Counties Challenge Stakes at Pukekohe. He was subsequently third to Cellarmaster in the Star Way 1000 before bouncing back to win the Great Northern Champagne Stakes at Ellerslie in April.
Lion Tamer’s most recent victory is his first since crossing the Tasman to Australia and he prevailed by half a length in the 1400m contest.
