Jakkalberry, a five-year-old son of Storming Home, added another Group win to his tally with an impressive six-length victory in the G3 Premio Carlo d'Alessio at Capannelle in Rome on the Derby Italiano undercard.
In what turned out to be a good day for the family, the Derby Italiano itself was won by Jakkalberry's half-brother Crackerjack King, who is by Darley's European-based stallion Shamardal.
Jakkalberry, who was bred by Azienda Agricola Allevamento Deni from the Barathea mare Claba Di San Jore, was third in the Italian Derby of 2009 and last year won the G1 Gran Premio di Milano and G3 Premio Ambrosiano.
