Tenka Jo, a three-year-old daughter of Thunder Snow, became her sires first Stakes winner on Thursday, 26 September when landing the Marine Cup at Funabashi. A local G3 contest (and an International Listed race), she came from behind in the nine-furlong Dirt contest to go clear in the straight to record a five-length victory.
Unraced as a juvenile, Tenka Jo has now won four of her five career starts.
Bred by Kineusu Bokujo, Tenka Jo is a daughter of the winning Empire Maker mare Fiorello, a half-sister to Stakes winner Narita Silk Road.
Tenka Jo is one of 42 winners from the first crop of Thunder Snow, that also includes multiple JRA winners G Cylone, Cafe Nix and T O Ruby. His second crop juveniles already includes 15 winners with many promising runners including unbeaten winners Win Harmonia and Cyclops.
