Discreet Senorita split rivals in the stretch and drew clear in the final yards to win the Foxy J G Stakes at Parx Racing April 29.
It was the second Stakes win for the daughter of Discreet Cat, who was returning off a two-month layoff. Unhurried early, Discreet Senorita was settled in third, stalking the early leaders, Disco Chick and Heatherly. As the field swept through the far turn and entered the stretch, Discreet Senorita shifted gears and began to close, charging between her rivals to take the lead. She continued to pull away nearing the wire to win convincingly.
Discreet Senorita was bred in Pennsylvania and races as a homebred for Dun Roamin Farm and Rosemore Farms. She is out of the winning Louis Quatorze mare, Senorita Louisa, a half-sister to Stakes winner Senor Cielo Two.
Discreet Cat is the sire of 24 individual Stakes winners, including Lord Simba, winner of the 2017 Los Angeles Stakes (G3) at Santa Anita. Among his three G1 winners is Dads Caps, who landed the Carter Handicap two years in a row.
