Unlimited Budget unstoppable in G3 Rachel Alexandra Stakes
Three-year-old Street Sense filly Unlimited Budget stayed perfect February 23 with a dominant victory in the G3 Rachel Alexandra Stakes at Fair Grounds. The filly's most recent victory came in the G2 Demoiselle Stakes at Aqueduct in November.
Making her season debut in the one and one-sixteenth mile event, favorited Unlimited Budget settled into position in fifth. Turning for home and began to rally on the outside, then took the lead where there was no catching her in the stretch.
A $475,000 OBS two-year-old purchase for Repole Stables, Unlimited Budget is out of the Stakes-placed Valid Appeal mare Unlimited Pleasure, also the dam of Graded Stakes winners Jardin and Beacon Shine. Unlimited Pleasure is a half-sister to G1 winner Outofthebox.
A son of the talented Street Cry, Street Sense is the only horse to complete the fabled G1 Breeders' Cup Classic, G1 Kentucky Derby double. He is the sire of 11 Graded Stakes horses to date, who include G3 winners Castaway and Motor City, as well as G1-placed fillies Aubby K and Miss Netta.
