Dalzar, a six-year-old entire by Xaar, won the fourth race of his career and landed his second Stakes victory when taking the 1400m Sunshine Coast Cup in Queensland, Australia, on Friday.
Out of the Dalmacia mare Maharani, Dalzar first won in March 2008 and followed up with his first Listed victory a month later in the Queensland Day Plate. He came back to win over 1200m the following season before adding another Listed-placed finish to his tally when finishing third in the Winning Edge Bribie Handicap in 2010.
Dalzar was bred by PC Racing Investments and beat home the full siblings Dual Chamber and Blazing Hearts.
