Praise Eternal lands September Stakes
Praise Eternal, a three-year-old colt by Admire Moon, continued his sire’s recent good run when landing the 1200m September Stakes at Nakayama on 21 September.
Settled in midfield under jockey Norihiro Yokoyama, Praise Eternal was switched to the outside once the field entered the home straight and demonstrated an impressive turn of foot to sweep past his rivals and win easily by a length.
A Darley homebred, Praise Eternal is out of the Group-winning mare Maybe Forever (Zafonic). The mare is a half-sister to multiple G1 winner Court Masterpiece (sired by former Darley stallion Polish Precedent). Maybe Forever has a yearling filly by first-season sire Deep Sky, and a 2013 full sister to Praise Eternal.
Admire Moon is enjoying a superb season, siring no fewer than 59 individual winners, headed by recent G2 winner and G1-placed colt Hakusan Moon, who is due to line up in this Saturday’s G1 Sprinter Stakes at Nakayama.
