New winner for Deep Sky
Deep Mitaka wins at Fukushima
Japanese Derby winner Deep Sky sired his fifth winner from his first crop on Sunday November 17, when his son Deep Mitaka won the 1200m turf maiden at Fukushima.
Bred by Fujiwara Farm, Deep Mitaka is the first winner bred out of the winning Gone West mare Angelus Kiss, who is herself a granddaughter of multiple Graded winner Fairy Garden.
Deep Sky, the imposing son of Agnes Tachyon, Sunday Silence's exceptional champion sire son, has now sired five winners including Ultimatum (who is also out of a Gone West mare), who beat 15 rivals on his debut earlier this month at Kyoto and JRA scorers Earth Wind and Arbre.
