Alkaased, whose first crop are currently two-year-olds, recorded his fourth individual winner on 11 October when Kitasan Suzuran landed the 1400m fillies’ maiden at Kyoto.
The Naosuke Sugai-trained filly was settled in second position behind the early leader Rhythmical Step and ran on well to win by half a length from A Shin Returns.
Owned and bred by Ono Shoji, Kitasan Suzuran is out of the G3-winning Fuji Kiseki mare Kitasan Hibotan.
